Last month I shared about my mentor Debbie and her impact on my life. (If you are new to the newsletter – you can read all about her here.) It was fitting that her Celebration of Life service was truly a celebration! And while I was not able to be there in person, I was deeply grateful that my words about her were read aloud. They joined so many other voices all saying the same thing: life was better if she was your friend.

It is from that place of reflection that I am keeping my word of the year as planned: celebrate

Our world is hurting. I know. Our world is always hurting.

Life is hard. You know it. Life is always hard.

But people keep living their lives. Every day.

And that means we all NEED to celebrate.

We need to recognize and name the things that bring us joy.

Turns out, I’m your girl! I LOVE to celebrate!
