Prairie City Photographer Recognized by Professional Photographers of Iowa

Katherine McClure, M. Photog., CPP of Katherine McClure Photography recognized for high scoring print competition images with an award from Professional Photographers of Iowa

Prairie City, IA 2020— Katherine McClure, M.Photog., CPP of Katherine McClure Photography in Prairie City, Iowa has earned the Top Ten Master Photographer award from Professional Photographers of Iowa (PPI). The award was presented digitally to McClure by PPI president Lisa Rohlk, M.Photog., F.Ph., at the association’s virtual award ceremony held Friday, April 3, 2020.

In the state of Iowa, Master Photographers compete separately from non-masters, and this was the first year McClure competed in the new category since receiving her Master's degree in January. The images that were judged can not yet be released, as they will continue on to the International Print Competition of Professional Photographers of America in the fall. 

McClure's image, The Last Chord, also placed third in the Portrait of a Woman category, and features her own mother.
